Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data KenyaPredictions collects, why, how long we keep it and the rights you have under the Data Protection Act, 2019 of Kenya.
01Who is responsible
KenyaPredictions is the data controller for this website. You can reach us at kingbloggers100@gmail.com about anything on this page.
02What we collect
- You can read the whole site without an account. We do not ask for your name, phone number, ID number, M-Pesa details or email to use it.
- Our server keeps short technical logs of each request: IP address, time, page, referring page and browser type.
- If you post a comment we store the name you type, your comment and a one way hash of your IP address, used only to stop spam. The hash cannot be turned back into your address.
- If you email us we keep the email and our reply.
- If analytics is switched on, it records which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from, without identifying you by name.
03Why we use it and on what basis
- To run, secure and improve the site. Our basis is our legitimate interest in a working, safe website.
- To publish comments you choose to post. Our basis is your consent.
- To answer your messages. Our basis is our legitimate interest in replying.
- For analytics and any advertising cookies. Our basis is your consent, which you can refuse or withdraw at any time. See our cookie policy.
04How long we keep it
- Server logs for a short rolling period, then they are deleted.
- Comments until you ask us to remove them or we remove them under our rules.
- Emails while the matter is open and for a reasonable time afterwards.
05Who receives it
- We never sell personal data.
- Our hosting provider processes requests so the site can reach you. If analytics is used, the analytics provider processes page view data on our behalf.
- Team logos, flags and fonts load from public services, which receive the normal request your browser makes.
- We disclose data if Kenyan law requires it.
06Transfers outside Kenya
Our servers and some providers are outside Kenya. Where data leaves Kenya we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, as the Data Protection Act, 2019 requires.
07Your rights
- Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you have the right to be told how your data is used, to see it, to have wrong data corrected, to have data deleted, to object to its use and to withdraw consent.
- Write to us at kingbloggers100@gmail.com to use any of these rights. We reply within the time the law allows and a first request is free.
- You can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) at www.odpc.go.ke.
08Children
This site is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us data, tell us and we will delete it.
