A Pop Star Serenade

Pop superstar Bruno Mars knows how to put on a good show. But on Friday night, one audience member seemed to steal the show from the 16-time Grammy winner. As Mars performed the hit song Marry You during his second night of five in Inglewood, California, for The Romantic Tour, Los Angeles Lakers forward Ziaire Williams found the perfect moment to make a promise for forever.

The Big Question

On the floor level of SoFi Stadium, Williams got down on bended knee as Mars sang the words about wanting to marry. Williams lined up his question of will you marry me with the lyrics. As Williams proposed to his teary-eyed girlfriend, model Paris Timan, Mars blended his singing with his excitement, crooning for her to say I do. After Timan, who seemed to be in shock, said yes, Mars continued singing through the song conclusion while the couple shared a hug as the audience erupted in cheers.

New Beginnings

Timan will be part of two new beginnings for Williams. In July, the 25-year-old signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Lakers after a 2025-26 season in which he posted 10.2 points and 2.4 rebounds per game in 54 games with the Brooklyn Nets. The next part for them is planning the rest of their lives together.
