Turning the tide in Week 4
History shows that slow starts do not always ruin a football season. Past teams have recovered from 1-3 deficits to win championships. Sunday of Week 4 brought similar turning points for three contenders in real time. The Cowboys, Rams and Patriots managed fourth-quarter comebacks to put their disappointing starts behind them. While flaws remain for all three squads, these wins offer a chance to climb back to the top of their respective playoff pictures.
Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb lift Dallas
The Cowboys traveled to Houston trying to avoid a deeper hole and pulled off a 34-30 victory over the Texans. Dak Prescott engineered a clutch two-minute drill, picking up five first downs before hitting CeeDee Lamb for a 12-yard touchdown with 43 seconds left. Lamb finished with a franchise-record 17 catches for 189 yards. Despite ongoing struggles in the run game, Brian Schottenheimer's squad improved to 2-2 and pushed their playoff probability to 82.3 percent.
