A Big Summer Move

Liverpool winger Victor Munoz has opened up about his summer transfer to Anfield. The Spanish wide forward joined the Premier League club from Osasuna for a fee of 40 million Euros, which is around 45 million dollars. Liverpool had to beat Newcastle to get his signature, securing him on a six year contract.

He was the first player to arrive at the club under coach Andoni Iraola. Munoz had a breakout season at Osasuna in the 2025 to 2026 season before making his big move to England. He has already made five Premier League appearances for Liverpool this season, scoring one goal.

Physical Premier League

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Munoz compared his experiences in England and Spain. He explained that English football demands much more from players physically. Spain are preparing to play Czechia in their latest Nations League game in Oviedo, and Munoz shared his thoughts on his development.

"LaLiga is a lot more tactical," Munoz said. "The Premier League games are more physical. The intensity in training there is very high, you notice that difference. It's helping me grow."

The former Real Madrid youth product admitted that his rapid rise has been hard to take in. He said everything is happening very fast, so he does not have time to fully process it, but he and his family are trying to enjoy every moment.

National Team Duties

Munoz is currently back with the Spain national team. He was part of the squad that won the World Cup this summer, but an injury kept him from playing in the tournament. He returned to action for his country on Tuesday, coming on as a substitute in a 4-1 victory against Croatia in Seville.

He faces tough competition for a starting spot with Ballon d'Or contender Lamine Yamal, who scored twice and got an assist in that match. Munoz has no hard feelings about the battle for places. He called Yamal a good friend and said that training with him and seeing him play is a privilege.
