The LeBron version takes over
Steve Lacy gave concertgoers a big surprise on Thursday night. Performing at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey, he sang a few bars from a viral track based on his song "Oh Yeah?". In this version, the chorus is replaced with the words "LeBron, LeBron, LeBron."
The crowd recognized the reference immediately and sang along with great delight. The unique track first gained attention in September when TikTok artist "dentzilla" posted a rendition online. That internet video quickly pulled in 4.7 million views on TikTok and over 666,000 likes on Instagram.
Touring and basketball season
Lacy lives in Los Angeles and is currently on tour across the United States and Canada. He is out supporting his latest album, which shares the name "Oh Yeah?". Meanwhile, the basketball star who inspired the viral song is getting ready for a big change.
LeBron James is preparing for his upcoming regular season debut with the Philadelphia 76ers. That matchup is scheduled for October 20 against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
