Huge financial boost for Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur have received a major financial boost. The Lewis family, who run the club's majority owner ENIC, have put another £120 million of capital into the club.

This new funding brings the total amount they have provided to around £320 million over the past 12 months. It follows a previous £100 million investment that the family put into the club during the summer.

Ownership shifts and Levy's diluted stake

The Lewis family has been taking on a much bigger role in the decision-making process at Tottenham. This change started after Daniel Levy stepped down as executive chairman in September of last year.

With the investment made during the summer, the Lewis family increased their total shares in Tottenham to around 88 percent. Levy was invited at the time to add to his proportionate share to make sure his stake was not diluted. However, he did not take up that option before the set deadline.

Because of this, Levy's holding in the club dropped to around 27 percent from 29.88 percent. It is still not clear if Levy will be given the chance to participate in this latest financial move. If he is not, his stake in the club could drop even further to around 25 percent.

On the pitch expectations

While the club deals with these big financial changes, there is also focus on the team's performances on the pitch. Commenting on a misfiring Spurs side, De Zerbi said, 'We are going to win many games and score many goals.'
