Jadarian Price Ruled Out With Injury

The Seattle Seahawks will play their Sunday game against the Los Angeles Chargers without starting running back Jadarian Price. The team officially ruled him out on Friday. Price is struggling with a chest injury that he first picked up in Week 2. He made the injury worse during a team practice on Wednesday.

The rookie running back did not practice on Thursday or Friday. Head coach Mike Macdonald said he does not know how long Price will be out of action.

Backfield Options and Team Updates

Coach Macdonald defended the young running back after the news. He said that injuries are just part of football and it is not Price's fault. Macdonald added that Price has a great attitude and a bright future with the team.

Price has started all three games for the Seahawks this season. He has recorded 119 rushing yards on 28 carries and 21 receiving yards on four catches. With Price sidelined, Emanuel Wilson and George Holani are the next options for the Seattle running game. Velus Jones Jr. is also a candidate to be brought up from the practice squad.

In other team news, safety Ty Okada and backup linebacker Chazz Surratt are questionable for Sunday. Safety Julian Love is expected to play after returning to full practice on Friday.
