Booth Drama in Philadelphia
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay says his assistant coaches will learn from a viral incident with Philadelphia Eagles fans on Sunday. Several videos on social media showed Rams assistants interacting with home fans from their booth after a late comeback win.
One assistant coach was seen banging on the glass and gesturing at Eagles fans below the booth after the Rams scored a go ahead touchdown. In response, fans threw a cup and a water bottle at the booth windows.
McVay Promises Better Behaviour
McVay said he spoke with his staff about the incident. He noted that he understands the emotion, having called plays from a booth earlier in his career with Washington.
McVay admitted that you get excited and emotional in those moments.
"We'll learn from that," McVay said. "We'll be better." He added that the team wants to represent class and calm steadiness while still being emotionally invested in the game. He promised that it will not be an issue moving forward.
A Stunning Late Turnaround
The drama boiled over after an incredible comeback by the Rams. Los Angeles trailed 20-10 with just eight minutes and 17 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
At that point, the Eagles had a 97.4% chance of winning, with Philadelphia on the Los Angeles two yard line. However, the Rams scored touchdowns with 3:59 and 1:45 remaining to snatch the victory.
