Tough day for the offense

Tennessee took a 26-3 loss against the Houston Texans on Sunday. The three points scored by the Titans were their fewest since a 25-3 home loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13 of last season.

During the game against Houston, quarterback Cam Ward completed 23 of 36 passes for 170 yards and an interception. The Tennessee offense failed to stretch the field. Ward averaged only 2.9 air yards per completion and completed only two passes that traveled 10 yards or further.

Coach stands by his quarterback

Even after the rough offensive performance, Titans coach Robert Saleh made it clear that he is sticking with Cam Ward as the starter.

"Cam's our starting quarterback," Saleh said. "We're going to give him every opportunity to be successful this year, and we're going to continue working with him, grinding with him and trying to help him get better."

Looking ahead to better days

The loss dropped the Titans to an 0-5 record. The team is also winless in their past 11 AFC South games, which is the longest active division losing streak in the NFL.

Ward believes his work ethic will help turn things around. "I just think my process, what I'm willing to sacrifice every week to get to the player that I want to be," he said. "I know I'm capable of this position."
