Chaos at the Final Whistle

Paris FC secured a 2-1 home victory over Strasbourg, but the match ended in complete chaos. Paris FC manager Liam Rosenior sparked a major confrontation after celebrating directly in front of the away supporters.

Rosenior, who previously managed Strasbourg for 18 months, gestured towards the travelling fans at the final whistle. He pointed his finger, slapped his chest, and raised his arms. This triggered a massive physical confrontation on the pitch, involving about 30 players and staff members from both teams who engaged in a mass shoving match.

Family Insults Sparked Celebration

In his post match press conference, Rosenior defended his actions. He explained that a section of the Strasbourg fans had crossed the line by targeting his family.

"There was a small part of the Strasbourg support who disrespect my family," Rosenior said. He added that his coaching staff on the bench were visibly upset by the chants. Rosenior noted that he understands French and knew the context of what was being said.

The manager insisted his celebration was a direct message to those who never wanted him to succeed. However, he made it clear that his anger was only directed at a small group, calling Strasbourg a fantastic club with great people.

Paris FC Keep Up Strong Run

On the pitch, Paris FC earned their win thanks to goals from Ilan Kebbal and Pablo Pagis. A late own goal by Moustapha Mbow gave Strasbourg a lifeline, but Paris FC held on for the victory.

The result keeps Paris FC in excellent form under Rosenior. They remain unbeaten this season, with three wins from their opening five matches.

Currently, Paris FC sit second in Ligue 1. They are just two points behind leaders Monaco and hold a six point advantage over Paris Saint-Germain, who have played one game less.
