Depleted receiving options

Wilson is not the only receiver dealing with physical issues in Pittsburgh. The team had already lost veteran receiver Michael Pittman Jr., who was placed on injured reserve on Saturday due to a foot injury.

Things got worse on Sunday when wideout and special teams ace Ben Skowronek also suffered an injury. Skowronek was forced off the field in the second quarter with a calf problem, leaving the offense thin on the outside.

With Wilson, Pittman, and Skowronek sidelined, the team has very few healthy options left at the position. The available wide receivers right now are DK Metcalf, along with rookies Germie Bernard and Kaden Wetjen. Brandon Smith is also available after being brought up from the practice squad on Saturday.
