Spanish Giants Eye Haaland and Kane
Real Madrid and Barcelona believe there is a chance to sign Manchester City star Erling Haaland next summer. Reports suggest both clubs feel the forward, aged 25, might look to move on in the season leading up to the 2028 European Championships. Real Madrid have liked Haaland for a long time, though the striker has not said he wants to leave City.
Meanwhile, Barcelona are also keeping an eye on Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane. The 33 year old is seen as an alternative to Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez. Barca are searching for a long term replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who left for Chicago Fire in the summer. Kane has a contract with Bayern until 2027, but Barcelona could move for him if he does not sign a new deal.
Raphinha Talks and Premier League Rumors
Barcelona are also busy securing their current talent. The club is set to start contract talks with 29 year old forward Raphinha. He met with sporting director Deco to begin negotiations and wants to stay at the club. Raphinha has been in great form, contributing to 11 goals in six matches this season, including two assists in a recent 4-2 win against Levante.
Over in England, Manchester United have renewed their interest in Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite. United previously had two bids of about £50 million rejected. They want the 24 year old as a long term replacement for Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire, and they might offer a player exchange deal. Tottenham are also planning a new bid for Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs White, whose contract enters its final year next summer.
