Legendary Presence In Baltimore
Ray Lewis made an appearance at the Baltimore Ravens facility on Friday. The legendary former player addressed the current team as they prepare for a big game on Sunday. Baltimore will travel away to face the Buffalo Bills.
Those inside the room during the talk said the speech was both intense and impressive. Lewis delivered a strong message that focused on cohesiveness and sticking together during tough moments.
Jesse Minter Connects With Former Star
First year Ravens head coach Jesse Minter played a big part in arranging the visit. Minter has been in touch with Lewis since the summer, and the two have built a good relationship over time.
Minter often wants his squad to hear different perspectives from people who have succeeded in the sport. The Ravens have actually used this concept of bringing in guest speakers for years and years. It is an ongoing tradition for the organization.
Scheduling The Appearance
The team leadership had been talking about bringing Lewis in for a talk ever since the season started. However, finding the right time proved difficult over the past few weeks.
This week, their schedules finally aligned, allowing Lewis to visit the facility. The timing of his message could be very helpful for the squad as they prepare to take on a tough Buffalo team on the road.
Baltimore Seeks Turnaround After Defeats
The visit comes after some difficult performances on the field. Baltimore suffered a close 13-10 loss against the Cleveland Browns in Week 6 of the season.
Their troubles continued last Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. In that game, Baltimore surrendered 35 unanswered points in the second half. They will now look to turn things around on Sunday after hearing from their former star.
