Jackson Injury Update

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is dealing with a sprained ankle. This injury gives him only an outside chance to play Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.

Jackson could end up missing multiple games depending on his rehabilitation progress. However, the injury is not considered long term and should not require surgery.

What Happened on Sunday

Jackson suffered the injury to his left ankle just before halftime in Week 4. He did not play the second half of Baltimore's 24-18 victory over the Tennessee Titans.

He left M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday night wearing a protective boot on his left foot. Ravens coach Jesse Minter acknowledged Monday that he was uncertain whether Jackson would play in Week 5.

Team Impact and Options

If Jackson is unable to play Sunday night against the Falcons, Tyler Huntley would start at quarterback for the Ravens. Minter said the organization was still gathering information on the quarterback's ankle.

With Jackson as their starter, the Ravens hold a 79-32 record, averaging 28.4 points per game. Without him since 2019, Baltimore is 6-11 with scoring dropping to 17.6 points per game.
