Jackson ruled out for Sunday night
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will miss Sunday night's game at the Atlanta Falcons. Coach Jesse Minter announced on Friday that Jackson has a left ankle injury. Jackson did not practice all week and will miss his first game of the season. He got hurt during last Sunday's 24-18 win over the Tennessee Titans, sitting out the second half and leaving the stadium in a protective boot.
Huntley steps into the starting role
Tyler Huntley will take over as the starting quarterback. Huntley went 2-0 as a fill in starter last season. Minter stated that the team has a ton of confidence in Huntley to play really well, and everyone on the squad is excited to see him perform.
Without Jackson since the start of the 2019 season, Baltimore holds a 6-11 record and averages 17.6 points per game. With Jackson starting, the team is 79-32 and averages 28.4 points per game. Minter mentioned earlier in the week that the injury is not crazy long term, but the team will see what happens as they aim to reach a 4-1 record for the first time since 2021.
