Injury worries grow
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua left Thursday practice with a calf injury, a team spokesperson said. Nacua was listed as a limited participant on the injury report for that day.
This adds to mounting concerns for the team. Nacua previously missed the Week 2 and Week 3 games with a psoas injury. He has played four games this season, recording 37 catches for 417 yards and a touchdown.
Mounting roster problems
The Rams are already dealing with the absence of wide receiver Davante Adams. Adams injured his hamstring during the Week 6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Head coach Sean McVay stated on Monday that Adams will miss six to 10 weeks.
More players are sidelined for the team. Nose tackle Poona Ford will miss the rest of the season with a ruptured triceps. Defensive tackle Kobie Turner will miss a handful of weeks with a groin injury. Kicker Blake Grupe suffered a torn ACL in Week 6.
Available options
With Nacua and Adams facing time off, the team still has other receivers on the roster. These players are Konata Mumpfield, Jordan Whittington, Tutu Atwell, CJ Daniels, and Alex Bachman.
