A tough loss at home

The Rams dropped to a 2-4 record following a narrow 18-16 defeat against the Cardinals on Sunday in Inglewood. The Cardinals closed as 13.5-point underdogs and pulled off the biggest upset of the season based on the point spread.

Coach Sean McVay pointed out that the team cannot get out of its own way due to critical and unforced errors, penalties, and a lack of execution. He added that there was nothing positive to say about the performance and that a lot of different players are taking turns making mistakes.

Williams talks about snaps

Running back Kyren Williams was asked why the team's energy level was inconsistent from drive-to-drive. He said, I can't tell you, bro, probably because I'm not out there.

Williams has shared the load this season with third-round pick Blake Corum. On Sunday, Williams played 40 offensive snaps while Corum played 16. Williams finished with 10 carries for 50 yards and three catches for 17 yards. Corum recorded nine carries for 42 yards, two catches for 18 yards, and a touchdown.

Looking ahead at the season

The Rams sit at 2-4 in the NFC West division. Statistics show the team holds a 43% chance to make the playoffs this year.

McVay accepted responsibility for the struggles, stating it is his job to find answers and fix the mistakes. The team now enters a critical phase to turn things around before the next fixture.
