Nacua Injury Concern
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua will not practice on Friday and is questionable to play on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. Coach Sean McVay shared the update with reporters.
Nacua took part in the majority of Thursday practice sessions before leaving with a calf injury. McVay said there was not a specific play where the problem occurred, but Nacua felt it where he was not able to have some of the power and full explosion. Nacua will work out on the field before the game to determine whether he will play.
Roster Shuffles
The Rams face several other roster questions heading into the weekend. Coach McVay stated that cornerback Trent McDuffie will be listed as questionable for the game after missing Week 6 with a groin injury suffered in practice. Meanwhile, inside linebacker Nate Landman has been ruled out as he remains in the concussion protocol.
If Nacua cannot go, the team still has other pass catchers on the roster. Those options include Konata Mumpfield, Jordan Whittington, Tutu Atwell, CJ Daniels, and Alex Bachman. Nacua previously missed the Rams Week 2 and Week 3 games with a psoas injury. Across four games this season, he has recorded 37 catches for 417 yards and a single touchdown.
