Nacua Status Uncertain for Monday Night

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is facing fitness concerns ahead of Monday night's clash against the New York Giants. Nacua has missed practice for the second consecutive day due to groin soreness. Coach Sean McVay confirmed that the team is taking a cautious approach with the star receiver.

McVay stated that they are being smart with him as a skill player. He added that whether or not Nacua plays is still to be determined. The team will wait to see how he feels, but he was held out of Saturday's practice session.

This groin issue is different from the psoas injury that kept Nacua out of action during training camp. Although he was able to practice on Thursday, he did not feel completely like himself. McVay noted that Nacua struggled to open up and run at full speed. He was officially listed on Friday's injury report with a hip issue.

More Injury Woes and a Big Return

The Rams are dealing with other injury concerns in their receiving corps. Wide receiver Jordan Whittington is listed as doubtful for Monday's game. Whittington was added to the injury report on Friday with a quad injury.

On a more positive note for the Rams, star defensive lineman Aaron Donald is expected to make his return. This will be Donald's first game since he decided to come out of retirement, having spent two seasons away from the sport.

When asked about his availability, Donald mentioned that playing is the plan. Coach McVay backed his star defender, stating that if Donald says he is playing, then he is going.
