Major Blow For Philly

The Philadelphia 76ers will be without star players LeBron James and Joel Embiid for Saturday night's game against the Charlotte Hornets. Both players have been ruled out due to injury management, as confirmed by the team.

This marks the first time this season that the Sixers will play without both superstars on the floor at the same time. Each player has missed one game individually for injury management this season, but they have never sat out together until now.

Injury Details And Rotation Plans

The team officially listed the specific reasons for both players sitting out. James has an injury designation of low back and sciatica. Embiid is dealing with right foot plantar fasciitis.

Saturday's contest against Charlotte is the second game of a back to back set for Philadelphia. The Sixers expect to remain cautious with both stars on back to back fixtures as they handle the workload of a long season.

More Roster Concerns

Philadelphia is also waiting on the status of a few other key players on the roster. Jaylen Brown is listed as questionable for the Charlotte game. He missed Friday night's win against the New York Knicks due to a left patella injury.

Center Tacko Fall and forward Jabari Walker are listed as questionable as well. Fall is dealing with a quad injury and has not played a game yet this season. Walker is dealing with a knee issue and has not played since hurting his knee during the team's victory against the Milwaukee Bucks last Saturday.

Recent Form Before Resting

The rest period for James comes immediately after his top display in a Philadelphia jersey. Coach Nick Nurse stated that James had his "best game" of the season in Friday night's win over the Knicks.

In that victory, James finished with 20 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. It stood as his first 20 point game as a member of the Sixers squad. Philadelphia will now try to win without their top duo against Charlotte.
