Future LaLiga Ambitions
Tottenham defender Pedro Porro has admitted that he wants to return to play in Spain in the future. Porro stated to El Larguero that he looks forward to returning to his home country one day because he likes the league.
Porro also denied receiving any concrete offers from Real Madrid or Barcelona during the recent transfer window. He explained that while some clubs made enquiries to find out his situation, there was no genuine interest.
Contract And Valuation
Porro believes that top Spanish clubs may have been deterred by Tottenham's high asking price. He signed a contract extension with Tottenham until June 2031 before helping Spain win the World Cup in the summer.
The 27-year-old player insists that he is happy at the north London club and feels very much loved by everyone there. He made 47 appearances in all competitions last season, which was the most of anyone in the squad.
Adapting To The Premier League
Porro joined Spurs on a permanent transfer from Sporting CP in the summer of 2023, following an initial loan spell in January 2023.
When asked if he would suit Barcelona or Real Madrid better, the former Real Valladolid player said he can adapt to anything and noted that he has successfully adapted to the Premier League.
