Glasner Demands Action After Latest Defeat
Nottingham Forest head coach Oliver Glasner has demanded immediate changes at the club following a disappointing 2-0 loss away at Brentford. The Austrian manager warned that the club could soon be searching for its sixth manager in less than a year if things do not improve quickly.
Glasner took charge at the start of the season after previously managing Crystal Palace. However, Forest have now lost four of their last five matches. That poor run of form leaves them sitting second from bottom in the Premier League standings.
Speaking after the match, a furious Glasner admitted that recent results are simply not good enough. He explained that he feels he has made too many compromises since taking the job. He made it clear that he will now demand total commitment from everyone at the club, promising zero compromises going forward.
Manager Ready To Make Big Changes
Glasner pointed out that the club is stuck in the same bad situation it faced last year. He stressed that Forest need a complete rebuild from top to bottom if they want to turn their season around.
The manager stated that he will tell the players and staff exactly what needs to be done. If the squad buys into his ideas, he believes a turnaround is still possible. However, he added that if players do not accept his demands, the club will simply bring in another head coach.
Glasner also noted that his own future is fine and that he could easily start somewhere else in two weeks if he wanted. He insisted his focus is on fixing the team, but warned that the staff and players will remain trapped in this difficult spot unless real changes happen right away.
Brentford Celebrate Best Win Of The Season
On the pitch, Brentford secured the 2-0 victory thanks to a freak own goal from Nikola Milenkovic and a late strike from Igor Thiago. The result ended a four match winless run for the home side.
It was also a special occasion for Brentford as they celebrated their 100th Premier League match at the Gtech Stadium. The three points moved them up into sixth place in the table.
Brentford manager Keith Andrews was delighted with the performance of his team. He described the result as their best win of the season, praising his players for showing smart play and strong leadership against a tough opponent.
