Madueke on the move
Noni Madueke is struggling to find playing time at Arsenal. The 24 year old winger only joined the Gunners last summer from Chelsea. Since his move, he has scored nine goals and provided four assists in 48 games. However, young player Max Dowman is now competing for his spot on the right wing.
Because of this, several unnamed Premier League teams are keeping a close eye on his situation. If Arsenal are willing to let him go, Madueke could secure a transfer away from the club as early as January.
Liverpool eye Smit and young stars on the radar
Liverpool are looking to strengthen their midfield. They are tracking AZ Alkmaar midfielder Kees Smit, who is 20 years old. Smit has been a regular in the Eredivisie and the Europa League over the last two seasons. He made his senior debut for the Netherlands in March, though he did not make the squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Meanwhile, Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Brighton are all keeping tabs on Luca Weinhandl. The 17 year old Sturm Graz youngster broke through last season with 10 appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga. He has already played five times this season. Reports suggest a package of £20 million could be enough to sign him in January.
Other big transfer rumors
Over in Italy, Juventus are planning contract talks with winger Nicolas Gonzalez during the upcoming international break. His current contract runs until 2029, but the club wants to extend it by another year or two. Gonzalez spent last season on loan at Atletico Madrid. He chose to stay in Turin despite interest from Atletico, Inter Milan, and Saudi Arabian teams. He has scored two goals in four games since his return.
In the United States, defender Matt Miazga is close to joining New York City FC as a free agent. The 31 year old was recently waived by FC Cincinnati, where he made 108 appearances and won the 2023 MLS Defender of the Year award.
