Jets and Steelers lead the way

Football teams love a good celebration after a hard fought victory, and social media is the main stage for getting the last laugh. The New York Jets secured a 17-12 win over the Cleveland Browns. Braelon Allen rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown, while Garrett Wilson added 104 receiving yards and a score. After the final whistle, the Jets posted an image of the animated character Cleveland Brown wearing a green shirt and a Jets cap.

Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Steelers moved to 3-0 at home with a 34-22 win against the Indianapolis Colts. Aaron Rodgers threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns. The social media team had fun with horse themes, posting graphics captioned hold your horses alongside clips of a horse and a reference to a popular television pony.

Bengals and Buccaneers join the fun

Other franchises also joined the digital banter after their respective wins. The Cincinnati Bengals pushed the Miami Dolphins deeper into a winless season with a 31-24 victory. Joe Burrow threw four touchdown passes to four different receivers. Cincinnati referenced the video game Grand Theft Auto because the upcoming release is set in a fictional city inspired by Miami.

In Thursday night action, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers earned their first victory by defeating the Dallas Cowboys 24-16. Bucky Irving rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns. Playing in a climate controlled stadium, the Buccaneers posted a picture of a thermostat labeled win to mock their dome playing opponents.
