João Pedro leads the attack
Chelsea forward João Pedro is enjoying a strong run of form under manager Xabi Alonso. He has scored five goals in six Premier League matches. Only Erling Haaland has scored more goals in the division so far.
His goals have helped push Chelsea into fourth place in the table. Teammate Morgan Rogers recently spoke about the impact of the striker. Rogers stated that the player's hunger to score goals and work for the team is massive.
Strong partnership on the pitch
Rogers joined Chelsea from Aston Villa this summer in a big money transfer. He has also performed well with four goals and one assist in the league so far.
Rogers explained how playing alongside the in-form teammate helps his own game. He noted that the striker always gives him an option and they can easily play off each other. The forward also puts in a lot of defensive work and relentless running for the team.
Team news and upcoming fixtures
Other squad members are making headlines too. Jordan Henderson has become a key player for the side. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Emi Martínez requires jaw surgery and will return in a few weeks.
Rogers feels confident and happy with his start at the club. The team is now preparing for two big matches.
