Milwaukee gets first win and mocks Florida teams
The Milwaukee Bucks earned their first victory of the season on Monday night, beating the Indiana Pacers 110-102. Milwaukee had lost its first three games before getting this result.
Tyler Herro led the team with 23 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. Guard Ryan Rollins added 19 points in the win.
As their game finished, the Bucks used social media to mock the Miami Heat and baseball side Tampa Bay Rays. The team posted a graphic stating, "Bad day to be a Florida sports fan."
Florida teams suffer tough Monday losses
The post targeted two Florida teams having a bad night. Moments before the Bucks won, the Miami Heat lost 113-109 to the Dallas Mavericks at Kaseya Center. That result dropped Miami to an 0-4 record. Milwaukee traded star Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Heat in June.
At the same time, MLB team Milwaukee Brewers were defeating the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field in Florida. The Brewers won 10-1 in Game 3 of the World Series, using an eight-run fifth inning to take a 3-0 series lead.
The Brewers finished their victory about 40 minutes after the Bucks game ended. The Bucks previously adjusted their season opener tipoff time to avoid clashing with the Brewers. The Bucks are off on Tuesday when Game 4 takes place. Milwaukee and Miami will play each other on Nov. 18.
