Another Fight Back For Milwaukee

The Milwaukee Brewers staged another impressive comeback on Saturday, beating the Tampa Bay Rays 5-4 in Game 2 of the World Series. Milwaukee fell behind 4-0 in the first inning after a throwing error by rookie Cooper Pratt.

Despite the early deficit, the Brewers fought back in front of 43,245 fans at American Family Field. They scored twice in the first inning and cut the lead to one in the fourth inning.

This team has made a habit of coming from behind. Out of 10 postseason games this October, Milwaukee has trailed in nine and won eight of those matches. They now hold a 9-1 record in the postseason and are two wins away from their first World Series title.

Frelick and Pratt Deliver Big Hits

Outfielder Sal Frelick tied the game in the sixth inning with a home run off pitcher Ian Seymour. Frelick, who was batting eighth and had not hit a home run since the All Star break due to right shoulder damage, drove the ball over the center field wall.

First baseman Jake Bauers praised Frelick after the game, saying he almost started crying in the dugout because it was such an awesome moment for Sal and the team.

Cooper Pratt then delivered the winning hit in the seventh inning. He hit an RBI single to score Brice Turang, who had started the inning with a double. Pratt made up for his early error and put Milwaukee ahead.

Bullpen Shuts Down Tampa Bay

Milwaukee bullpen held the Rays scoreless for the final six innings. Pitcher Aaron Ashby completed his 15th scoreless inning of this postseason, while the Rays failed to score in eight straight innings.

First baseman Andrew Vaughn called the home crowd the loudest he had ever heard the stadium. Infielder Joey Ortiz added that anytime the team goes down, he feels like a comeback is guaranteed.

Series Moves To St Petersburg

The Brewers previously came from behind to beat the San Diego Padres and swept the Los Angeles Dodgers after trailing in all four championship series matches. Now, they have defeated Tampa Bay twice in two days.

The World Series moves to Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg for Game 3. Milwaukee will look to keep their winning run going as they move closer to a historic championship.
