Crosby Committed to the Raiders

Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby is not expected to be moved before the November 10 trade deadline. Unlike last season, when Crosby openly questioned his future with the team, the star defender has no desire to leave Las Vegas this year.

The Raiders have not held any trade discussions about Crosby with other NFL teams this season. Even if teams call before the deadline, the Raiders intend to keep the five time Pro Bowler on their roster.

One source stated that Crosby absolutely does not want to leave Las Vegas under any circumstances and hopes to remain a Raider for life. The organization shares that hope, though other teams in the league have made major trades recently. Last offseason, the Baltimore Ravens agreed to trade two first round draft picks for Crosby, but the deal was canceled after he failed his physical.

Raiders Target November Turnaround

The Raiders enter Sunday with three wins and four losses as they prepare to face the New York Jets in New Jersey. A victory would give them a chance to reach a .500 record in November for the first time since 2020, when they held a record of three wins and three losses.

Las Vegas is relying on Crosby to make an impact on defense and help the team put together a strong season.

Kirk Cousins Keeps the Starting Role

Quarterback Kirk Cousins remains entrenched as the starter for Las Vegas. The team plans to play him as long as possible and does not blame him for their recent struggles after winning their first three games of the season.

Cousins leads the NFL with 16 touchdown passes through seven games. He also ranks third in the league with 1,817 passing yards and has thrown just five interceptions. The team prefers an experienced quarterback to lead them through a challenging upcoming schedule.

After the Jets game, the Raiders face road games against the San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos, and Cleveland Browns, along with a home game against the Seattle Seahawks before their Week 13 bye. After the bye week, they play home games against the Los Angeles Chargers, Broncos, and Tennessee Titans.

Number one overall draft pick Fernando Mendoza could get an opportunity after the bye week. However, the ideal plan for Las Vegas is for Cousins to remain the starting quarterback for the entire season.
