Trade Talk Surrounds Receiver
Trade rumors have swirled around Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr in recent weeks. Speculation that the former high draft pick could be moved before the November 10 trade deadline grew after he hired new agents in late September. Harrison did not have an agent prior to that decision.
Sources indicate that the Cardinals are not actively shopping Harrison. However, other teams are still doing their due diligence on the third year receiver. Those interested teams include the Indianapolis Colts, who would entertain the idea of trading for him.
Player Focus Stays on the Field
Harrison told reporters that he is ignoring all the speculation about his future. He stated that he is only focused on Detroit and helping the Cardinals win football games.
So far this season, Harrison has five catches for 85 yards and one touchdown through four games. His lone score came in a recent loss to the Giants. When asked about his post touchdown celebration, he insisted it carried no hidden message. Coach Mike LaFleur also stated that his confidence in the young receiver remains high.
