Manchester United plan moves ahead of January
Manchester United are keeping tabs on Crystal Palace duo Ismaïla Sarr and Jean-Philippe Mateta ahead of the January transfer window. Mateta has a contract until 2027, while Sarr is considering a new contract offer from Palace despite his current deal running until 2029.
United are also planning to bring in a new left back next summer. Bournemouth defender Adrien Truffert and Newcastle United player Lewis Hall are currently being scouted.
Changes are also coming in defense. Defender Lisandro Martínez is set to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season. The 28 year old recently apologized after criticizing the club hierarchy over their transfer record, but his future is now uncertain. United are also monitoring Bournemouth striker Evanilson and Atlético Madrid forward Giuliano Simeone.
Arsenal eye new talent and negotiate contracts
Arsenal have entered the race to sign Club Brugge striker Nicolò Tresoldi. The 22 year old scored a Champions League hat trick against Inter Milan, which attracted attention from top clubs across Europe. Manager Mikel Arteta wants to add more attacking options to his squad.
At the same time, Arsenal are near the end of contract talks with midfielder Declan Rice for a new long term deal. Striker Viktor Gyökeres is thinking about his long term future at the club ahead of next summer, but a January exit is unlikely because Arteta wants him to stay. Arsenal are also keeping an eye on Evanilson, while Real Madrid remain interested in defender Riccardo Calafiori.
Big moves across Europe and Spanish interest
Barcelona have decided that 19 year old Xavi Espart will not leave in January. The versatile youngster signed a contract until 2030 after interest from Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, PSG, and Bayern Munich. Although Espart is a midfielder, he has played at full back on both sides this season.
Tottenham right back Pedro Porro would consider a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona. The 27 year old extended his contract until 2031, but he wants to fight for trophies and play in the Champions League.
In other news, Liverpool and PSG are looking at Monaco striker Paris Brunner, who is valued at 30 million euros. Borussia Dortmund hold a matching rights clause for the 20 year old.
