Missed opportunity at Old Trafford
Manchester United were held to a frustrating draw on Saturday after conceding a late goal to 10-man Tottenham. United looked like they would finally end a three-game winless streak in the league when Bryan Mbeumo scored in the 73rd minute. Michael Carrick saw his side gain an extra advantage five minutes later when Rodrigo Bentancur was sent off for a headbutt on Luke Shaw.
Solanke strikes late
Tottenham dominated the first half of the match but failed to take their chances. Even after going down to 10 players, Roberto De Zerbi's visitors kept pushing forward. Dominic Solanke stunned Old Trafford by heading into the bottom corner two minutes into added time, lifting his team off the bottom of the Premier League table.
Current standings
The draw leaves Manchester United sitting 12th in the table. Meanwhile, Tottenham moved up to 18th place following the result. Fulham dropped to the bottom of the standings as the battle at the lower end of the league continues.
