Breaking the Losing Streak

The Las Vegas Raiders defeated the New York Jets 38-33 in a comeback win on the road. The victory snapped a four-grade losing skid and improved the team record to 4-4.

This marks the first time the franchise has reached the .500 mark through eight games since 2021. Head coach Klint Kubiak asked quarterback Kirk Cousins to speak to the team about playing with joy before the game.

The Return of Kirko Chainz

The win brought back the famous alter ego known as Kirko Chainz. On the long flight back to Las Vegas, Cousins took off his shirt and let teammates place expensive chains around his neck and watches on his wrists.

Teammate Maxx Crosby gave Cousins multiple watches and chains. Defensive tackle Adam Butler provided a Millennium Ring necklace from the Yu-Gi-Oh series. Cornerback Eric Stokes also put items on the quarterback.

Running back Dylan Laube said seeing the alter ego in person was funny. Laube noted that Cousins loves the attention and has great energy.

Burger Treats and Celebrations

Cousins also revived his postgame tradition of taking players to In-N-Out Burger after wins. The tradition had stopped during the team losing streak.

After beating the Jets, Cousins treated several players including Dylan Laube, Kolton Miller, Brock Bowers, and Fernando Mendoza to postgame meals. Cousins noted the meals are not too expensive.

During the game, Cousins scored a rushing touchdown in the third quarter and performed a wellness dance celebration. Cousins later admitted that Laube actually created the dance.
