Porter Set To Play
Cornerback Joey Porter Jr. is available to make his Dallas debut on Sunday against the Houston Texans. He does not carry any injury designation after practicing for the past two days.
Executive vice president Stephen Jones stated that they actually think Joey Porter will get snaps. Coach Brian Schottenheimer noted that Porter had a really impressive first practice and wanted him to stack a second day.
Dallas acquired Porter from Pittsburgh late Wednesday night in exchange for a 2027 sixth round pick and a 2028 second round pick. Porter previously missed a game because his back was tight, but he smiled and mentioned that his back is feeling better.
Team Injury Updates
The Cowboys will be missing linebacker DeMarvion Overshown because of a hamstring issue for the third straight game. Cornerback Cobie Durant is also out with a hamstring problem for the second straight game.
On the positive side, cornerback Shavon Revel was a full participant after dealing with knee and ankle concerns and carries no injury designation. Safety Malik Hooker is set to return after missing the past two games following a forearm fracture from the season opener.
