João Pedro Rejects Fan Nicknames for Chelsea's Hot Front Three

The search for a new nickname

Chelsea's attacking trio of João Pedro, Cole Palmer, and Morgan Rogers are in fine form, but they are not happy with their current nicknames. Fans have called them JP Morgan and CPR after their strong start to the season.

João Pedro revealed that he does not like the name CPR, while Palmer is not a fan of JP Morgan. The Brazilian striker wants fans to come up with something else that makes everyone happy.

The front three have been highly productive. João Pedro has three goals and three assists. Palmer has contributed four goals and two assists, while Rogers has three goals and four assists since his move from Aston Villa.

How the trio works on the pitch

João Pedro explained how the three players link up during games. He likes to give the ball to Palmer's feet, while he looks to find Rogers in open space to set up one on one situations.

My job is just to run and then they are going to find me, Pedro said. He praised Palmer as a special player who can pass, score, and take free kicks. He also laughed off the idea that Palmer is quiet, saying he is actually a funny guy who jokes around with his teammates.

Chelsea's new head coach Xabi Alonso has helped the attack. Under his leadership, Chelsea have taken seven points from four Premier League games and reached the Carabao Cup fourth round. Pedro said Alonso, who recently compared him to Karim Benzema, tells them to stay focused and connected.

Defensive worries

While Chelsea have scored 18 goals in six matches this season, they have also struggled at the back. The team has conceded 12 goals during that run.

João Pedro is hoping that defensive midfielder Moisés Caicedo will return from injury soon to help steady the defence. Pedro called Caicedo a machine and the best in his position in the world.
