The Ultimate Road Warriors

The Jacksonville Jaguars are preparing for a massive stretch away from home. Over the next 23 months, the team will play just four of their next 30 regular season games in Jacksonville. This unusual schedule is due to a 1.4 billion dollar renovation at EverBank Stadium. The team will even have to play their 2027 home games two hours away in Orlando at Camping World Stadium.

By the end of the 2026 season, the Jaguars will become the first NFL team since the 1926 Duluth Eskimos to play in 12 or more stadiums in a single season. Despite the challenge, coach Liam Coen is not making excuses. Coen said his team's mindset is to get off a plane anywhere and play. He told his players during training camp that nobody in the league or the fanbase will care about their travel schedule at the end of the year.

London Calling and Player Reactions

The long trip begins this week as the team travels to London for two designated home games. They face the Philadelphia Eagles at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Sunday, followed by the Houston Texans on October 18 at Wembley Stadium. These matches will be the 15th and 16th games the franchise has played in London since the 2013 season.

Punter Logan Cooke will set an NFL record by playing in his 10th international game. Meanwhile, cornerback Jourdan Lewis is looking forward to the hostile environments on the road. Lewis said he loves seeing opposing fans flip them the bird because it gets his juices flowing.

The Jaguars have actually performed well on the road recently under Coen. After losing three of their first five road games under him, they have now won five of their last six away matches. Center Robert Hainsey added that NFL players are creatures of habit, making it easy to stick to their routines on the road.
