Harry Kane Sets Bundesliga Record With 102 Goals in 100 Games

Harry Kane has added another major record to his name in German football. The striker scored his 102nd goal in his 100th Bundesliga match on Saturday as Bayern Munich picked up a 6-1 win over RB Leipzig.

Kane scored in the 53rd minute of the match to make it 5-0. He finished off a cutback from Nathaniel Brown to mark his century of league appearances in style.

By scoring his 102nd goal, Kane broke a record that had stood since the 1960s. Timo Konietzka previously held the record with 72 goals in his first 100 games for Borussia Dortmund. Kane surpassed that mark by 30 goals.

Incredible Numbers and New Contract

The goal was Kane's fourth in six Bundesliga matches this season. The England captain has also scored three goals in two Champions League games, along with two goals in a German Cup victory against VfL Osnabruck.

Back in September, Kane became the fastest player to score 100 goals for Bayern Munich when he scored in a 4-0 win over Union Berlin in his 98th game. Overall, the 33 year old has scored 155 goals in 157 matches for Bayern since leaving Spurs in 2023. He has already won two Bundesliga titles and the 2026 German Cup.

Kane is currently close to signing a new contract that would keep him at Bayern until 2029. His current deal runs out at the end of this season.

He is also the favourite to win his first Ballon d'Or on Oct. 26. On the international stage, Kane has 91 goals for England. If he plays against Croatia in the Nations League on Nov. 12, he will earn his 126th cap and become England's most capped player of all time, passing Peter Shilton's record from 1990.
