Harry Kane Commits Future To Bayern Munich With New 2029 Contract

New Contract Extension Confirmed

England captain Harry Kane has signed a new contract extension at Bayern Munich. The agreement keeps the forward in Germany until 2029.

Kane joined the German club three years ago from Tottenham Hotspur. Since moving to Munich, he ended his wait for trophies. He won the Bundesliga in 2025 and 2026. He also lifted the DFB Pokal trophy last season.

Records And Awards In Germany

The striker has broken major records during his time in Germany. He reached 100 goals in the top flight in just 98 appearances. That is the fewest matches any player has needed to reach that mark.

His performances helped him win the Ballon d'Or award. He won the trophy by beating Kylian Mbappe by one of the closest margins ever recorded.

Kane has also continued to excel for his country. He matched Peter Shilton record of 125 England caps during a game against Czechia. He is already England top goalscorer with 91 goals.

Kane expressed his joy after signing the new deal. He stated that he feels right at home at FC Bayern and loves the club, the supporters, and the city. He added that his family is very happy living in Munich.

He also praised team manager Vincent Kompany, calling him a fantastic manager. Kane said he wants to win many more titles with Bayern in the coming years.

Bayern Munich leaders welcomed the agreement. Club president Herbert Hainer stated that Kane has secured a place in the hearts of fans. CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen called the news fantastic for the fans and the league.

Sporting director Christoph Freund described Kane as a leader and the best all round striker. Board member Max Eberl noted that the deal gives the team certainty as they plan for the future.
