Injury Updates for New York

New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo is unlikely to feature this Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. Coach Jon Harbaugh stated on Friday that Skattebo is doubtful due to a hamstring injury sustained in overtime against the Houston Texans on Oct. 25.

Skattebo did not practice this week even with the team coming off a bye week. Coach Harbaugh still refused to rule him out completely. "Yeah, let's keep it open," Harbaugh said. "Let's keep it open, let's see what happens."

Malik Nabers Cleared to Play

While the running back position faces troubles, wide receiver Malik Nabers is ready to play. Nabers missed practice on Thursday because of his right knee, but he returned to full practice on Friday without any injury listing.

Harbaugh confirmed that Nabers will play without restrictions. "He practiced fully. He was full participation. It's not an issue," the coach explained. "He'll be full go for the game."

Nabers has played all seven games this season after recovering from a serious knee injury last year. He currently leads the Giants with 48 catches for 605 yards and aims for his fifth straight 100 yard performance on Sunday.

Running Back Options

Skattebo is the main rusher for the Giants, leading the squad with 418 yards rushing on 98 carries. No other player on the roster has reached 100 rushing yards this year. His potential absence leaves the team short, especially since Tyrone Tracy Jr. was placed on injured reserve last week with a hamstring injury.

Devin Singletary is expected to step up as the primary running back on Sunday. Singletary scored the winning 30 yard touchdown in Houston after sitting out earlier matches as an inactive player.

Roster Additions and Recent History

The Giants have added Greg Desrosiers and Phil Mafah as other running options. Desrosiers was signed off the Los Angeles Chargers practice squad last week and is set for his first career game. Mafah has played in one career game and recorded five carries while playing for the Dallas Cowboys against the Giants in Week 18 last season.

The Giants have four wins, two losses and one tie this season. They are trying to secure their first victory at Lincoln Financial Field since 2013. Last season, Skattebo suffered a fractured ankle in Philadelphia, making this upcoming game an important test for the squad.
