A Growing Family

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. and his wife, Olivia, are expecting their first child. The couple announced the news on Saturday with a joint post on Instagram.

They shared a video that is one minute and 17 seconds long, titled "A Short Love Story" with "By The Penix's" written below it. The video shows several clips of the couple wearing matching white outfits. Some clips show ultrasound photos, including one placed with a teddy bear in a basket. The basket also has a blanket with the words "Baby Penix, Spring 2027" on it.

The couple added a caption to their post that reads, "Upgraded to mom and dad." The pair got married in May after getting engaged in 2024.

On-Field Milestones

Michael and Olivia met while he was playing college football as the quarterback for the University of Washington. During his time there, he led the Huskies to the 2024 College Football Playoff national championship game, which they lost to Michigan.

This personal news comes right after a big moment on the field for the Falcons quarterback. Penix made his first start of the 2026 season on Thursday. He had a great game against the Green Bay Packers, throwing for 256 yards and one touchdown. His efforts helped lead the Falcons to a 35-14 win.
