Facing the Premier League verdict
Manchester City are preparing to play their first matches since being found guilty on more than 100 charges of serious breaches of Premier League financial regulations. Most City players were away representing their respective countries during the extended international break when the outcome of the legal battle was made public.
City have branded the verdict unsafe and have lodged a comprehensive appeal of the independent commission verdict. The club now faces appeals, possible punishments, and uncertainty over how long the process could take.
Haaland urges team unity
Erling Haaland has said that everyone at Manchester City has to stick together and stay positive as the team prepares for their upcoming fixtures. He told club media that the traveling fans are going to have a good time at Anfield.
Haaland added that no matter what happens in life, people always have to have a smile. He noted that the squad must look ahead, try to win football games, enjoy the situation, and spread love to each other.
Deep ties to the UK
Haaland joined City from Borussia Dortmund in 2022 and has won many honours since then. He explained that he cares a lot about the club and the UK generally because of his family history.
His mother and father lived in the UK for ten years in Nottingham and Leeds, while his father trained at Carrington. Haaland spent his first four years in the country, and he feels connected to the fans because he considers himself a fan too.
