Former Boss Talks Punditry

Former Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has spoken openly about the impact that criticism from former club legends has on the team and current players.

In an interview, Ten Hag stated that pundits who frequently comment on events at United sometimes use harsh words. He noted that these figures are part of the club history and do not always know what is going on behind the scenes.

Famous Voices and Past Players

A number of former United players from the Sir Alex Ferguson era regularly pass comment on the club. These include Gary Neville, Roy Keane, Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes.

Keane previously labelled the club a circus following a defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. Meanwhile, Neville branded a second-half display against Fulham as the worst fifteen minutes he has ever seen a United team play.

Looking Forward and Helping the Club

Ten Hag mentioned that some United players would get irritated by the commentary from former club heroes. He also claimed that he personally had a good relationship with the pundits, doing nice interviews with both Gary Neville and Rio Ferdinand.

The former coach added that these former players could help the club and players more by supporting them.
