New Adidas Deal for Mitchell
Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell has committed to a new multiyear contract extension with Adidas. This major agreement ensures that he will continue his partnership with the brand for several more years. The deal is set to take him all the way through to his 10th signature shoe with the company.
By securing this contract, Mitchell becomes only the seventh active NBA player to reach the milestone of 10 signature shoes with the same brand. It is a rare achievement that places him among the most marketable and successful players in the league today.
The exclusive list of active players with 10 signature shoes with one company includes LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, James Harden, Damian Lillard, and Klay Thompson. Mitchell now joins this elite group of basketball stars.
Helping Underserved Students
The new agreement between the Cavaliers star and the shoe brand also features a strong focus on charity and education. It will bring important benefits to young people.
Under the terms of the deal, Adidas will provide extra resources to Mitchell's former high school, Greenwich Country Day. These additional resources are aimed at helping students from underserved communities. The goal is to provide these students with better access to key educational resources.
Mitchell is currently preparing for his 10th season in the NBA. This upcoming campaign will also be his fifth season playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He originally started his professional basketball career with the Utah Jazz before joining his current team.
