The Coaching Shakeup
Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Davis Webb admitted on Friday that it is not ideal to have been stripped of play-calling duties. Head coach Sean Payton announced on Thursday that he will take over calling plays after a 2-2 start to the season.
Webb had been the play-caller for the first four games. The team struggled on most fronts during that stretch, facing tough defenses like Jacksonville, San Francisco, Kansas City, and the Los Angeles Rams.
Stats And Struggles
The Broncos rank near the bottom of the league in several offensive categories, including scoring, total yards, and rushing yards per game. Quarterback Bo Nix has also faced struggles, ranking 22nd in QBR.
Despite the demotion, Webb stated he is still completely committed to Nix, the team offense, and his role on the coaching staff. He noted that he has experienced ups and downs before in his career.
