Arteta commits future
Declan Rice believes Arsenal are very lucky to have the best coach in Mikel Arteta. The Spanish manager recently signed a new four-year contract to commit his future at the club until 2030.
Arteta took charge of the north London side in 2019. He guided the Gunners to their first Premier League title in 22 years last season. Rice praised the boss for his tactical detail, training methods, and constant focus during matches and training sessions.
Rice ready for action
Rice started every game for Arsenal this season. He withdrew from England duty during the international break to manage his workload and settle some physical issues.
The midfielder stated that he feels good and fresh now. He is ready to play when the Premier League resumes this weekend. Arsenal host Leeds United on Saturday and want to bounce back from a 3-0 defeat to Brighton.
Focus on the new season
Arsenal return to the pitch as reigning champions. Rice insisted that winning the league last season is in the past and the team must focus on new challenges.
He noted that the team is playing with more confidence this season. The key is staying humble, taking each game as it comes, and trying to win as many matches as possible.
