Big Win in Philadelphia

The Dallas Cowboys stopped their two game losing streak on Monday night with a 38-21 road win against the Philadelphia Eagles. Quarterback Dak Prescott threw three touchdown passes to help his team stay close to the 4-2-1 New York Giants in the NFC East.

Prescott said after the game that winning division matches is necessary if the team wants to control its own future. The Cowboys had dropped two straight games to fall to 2-4 before this big win on the road.

Offense Finds Its Rhythm

Dallas put together a balanced performance on offense. For the first time since 1983, the Cowboys recorded more than 200 yards rushing and 200 yards passing in a single game against the Eagles.

Javonte Williams had a standout game on the ground, running for a career high 155 yards on 25 carries. He sealed the win with a 2 yard touchdown run with 2:21 remaining in the fourth quarter. Through the air, Prescott found CeeDee Lamb for two touchdowns and George Pickens for one.

Defense and Coaching

The defense made important plays to support the offense. They allowed Philadelphia to score touchdowns on the opening drives of both the first and second halves, but they tightened up after that. They registered two sacks on Eagles quarterback Tanner McKee, coming from Quinnen Williams and Donovan Ezeiruaku. DeMarvion Overshown also picked off McKee once.

The performance helped ease recent pressure on head coach Brian Schottenheimer. Schottenheimer noted after the game that the players executed well and got the job done. Prescott added that the team fully supports their coach.

Focus Turns to Cardinals

This win was the first victory for Dallas since Oct. 4, when they defeated the Houston Texans. That ended a 22 day wait between victories for the franchise.

The Cowboys now host the 2-5 Arizona Cardinals at AT&T Stadium. Dallas has not won back to back games since a three game winning streak in Weeks 11 through 13 of last season.
