From the Minors to the Big Time

Cooper Pratt started the year playing in the minors as the shortstop for the Triple-A Nashville Sounds. By June, he was in the majors. By October, he was a World Series champion with the Milwaukee Brewers.

His rapid rise caught the attention of many fans and officials. Pratt spent part of the offseason visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame and taking a photo with the plaque of Robin Yount, the legendary former shortstop for the Brewers.

Setting World Series Records

During Game 4 of the series, Josh Rawitch, president of the Hall of Fame, spoke with Pratt about potentially leaving a piece of history behind in Cooperstown. Pratt then recorded four hits that night, including a home run in the 12th inning.

He added two more base hits in Game 5 as Milwaukee secured the title. This gave him six straight hits across the two games, which is the longest consecutive hit streak by a rookie in World Series history.

A Special Delivery to Cooperstown

After the team won the title, officials from the Hall of Fame collected items from several players and coaches. They gathered Manager Pat Murphy's postseason hoodie, World Series MVP William Contreras, chest protector, and other items from various players.

When Rawitch approached Pratt after the game, the young shortstop gladly offered his bat. The bat fittingly came from the Cooperstown Bat Company, and it will now be preserved in the Hall of Fame within a special exhibit.
