The Indianapolis Colts have reached 2-2 after beating Washington in London, but quarterback Daniel Jones continues to struggle with costly turnovers.

Winning Ugly in London

The Indianapolis Colts are back to a .500 record after a 30-13 win against the Washington Commanders in London. After starting the season with two losses, the Colts have now won two games in a row.

But the way they are winning is raising some concerns. Over the last two weeks, the Colts have a minus four turnover margin and have averaged just 4.1 yards per play. They have only thrown one touchdown pass in those two games. Still, they found a way to win.

Daniel Jones Struggles with Giveaways

Quarterback Daniel Jones is under pressure for his mistakes. He has turned the ball over five times in his last two games, which were wins over the Texans and the Commanders. Against Washington, he lost a fumble on the second play of the game and threw an interception in the second quarter.

Jones also struggled through the air, throwing for just 143 yards. That is his lowest passing yardage in a full game since becoming the starter for the Colts. He averaged a low 4.2 yards per attempt.

Jones knows he has to improve. "Definitely got to play better," Jones said after the game. "Got to clean that up. Can't afford to turn the ball over like that."

The Colts signed Jones to an 88 million dollar, two year contract in March, betting on him after he tore his Achilles. He is still only ten months post surgery.

Missing Pieces and Protection Issues

The Colts are also dealing with some major absences. Their top wide receiver, Alec Pierce, is on injured reserve with a heel injury. Without him, the team has struggled to make big plays down the field.

The offensive line has also struggled to protect Jones, leaving him under heavy pressure. But despite the ugly stats, the team is happy to be winning. Coach Shane Steichen summed it up well. "It's better than being 0-4," Steichen said. "I'll tell you that."
