New Hulu Drama

Even if the Cleveland Browns miss the NFL playoffs, fans will still have a chance to watch the team in February. The Browns are the focus of Hulu's upcoming scripted drama called The Land, which released its first trailer on Tuesday ahead of its February 15 premiere. The show arrives on screens the day after Super Bowl LXI, using the promotional tagline that when the game is over, the real drama begins.

Created by Dan Fogelman, the series follows a fictional version of the Browns as the franchise faces challenges both on and off the field. The NFL is serving as a co-producer on the project, meaning the show will feature authentic league branding and full access.

Fictional Cast and Plot

Christopher Meloni stars as Danny Roarke, the head coach of Cleveland tasked with reviving a struggling franchise. With his job on the line, the coach relies on his own son, a rookie quarterback out of Ohio State. The fictional rookie was actually introduced earlier this year during filming, when commissioner Roger Goodell took the stage on the second day of the 2026 NFL draft in Pittsburgh to announce a surprise selection.

William H. Macy plays the team owner, Hal Durkin, who has to decide which of his two daughters will take over the franchise. Macy praised the writing in January, telling reporters that the scripts are brilliant and Shakespearean. The large cast also features Mandy Moore, Chace Crawford, Sam Corlett, Tanner Zagarino, Chloe Bennet, Bridget Moynahan, and Omar Epps.
