Injury Blow for Mason Graham
The Cleveland Browns have suffered a major setback with defensive tackle Mason Graham now expected to miss a few weeks of action. The defender suffered both an MCL sprain and an ankle sprain during the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The injury occurred very early in the game on Thursday night. During Pittsburgh's opening series, Graham was being blocked when his left leg bent awkwardly. He was forced to leave the field, walking to the medical tent with some assistance. He later walked to the locker room for further evaluation.
Post Game Scenes
Even though the Browns went on to win the game 27-24, the aftermath of the victory was worrying for Cleveland fans. Graham was spotted leaving the locker room on crutches and wearing a protective brace.
His departure on crutches confirmed the immediate fears of the coaching staff. The defensive tackle will now face a period on the sidelines as he recovers from both the knee and ankle issues.
A Huge Loss for the Defense
This is a massive loss for the Cleveland defense because Graham was having an outstanding year. Graham was selected as the number five overall pick in the 2025 draft and is currently in his second season.
He has enjoyed a highly successful start to this second season. He currently leads the Browns with four sacks. That impressive tally also ties him for the second most sacks in the entire league. Replacing that level of production will be a very tough task for the team in the coming weeks.
