No Old Trafford Move Under Ratcliffe
Manchester United legend Eric Cantona has revealed that he would never have signed for the club if Sir Jim Ratcliffe had been in charge. The former French forward made the comments during an interview on a TikTok channel run by United fan Pete Boyle.
Boyle asked Cantona if he would have joined the Red Devils under Ratcliffe's current leadership. Cantona replied that he would not have done so. The statement comes as a surprise to many, especially since Ratcliffe has previously named Cantona as his favourite United player of all time.
Backlash Over Immigration Comments
The tension comes after Ratcliffe made controversial statements about the United Kingdom. In a recent interview, the United co-owner claimed the country is in decline. He argued that this decline is happening because nobody is tough enough to deal with the immigration problem.
Cantona strongly disagreed with this political stance. He expressed his shock that a co-owner of a major football club would make such remarks. Cantona said that he cannot understand how someone in Ratcliffe's position could speak about the issue in that way.

The former striker explained that football is a sport built by people from all backgrounds. He noted that the greatest players in the game come from different waves of immigration. Cantona emphasized that this is the case in England, France, and everywhere else.
